Euphoria star Hunter Schafer was among dozens of protesters arrested at a pro-Palestine rally earlier this week.

The actress was protesting at 30 Rockefeller Center with the organization Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) ahead of President Joe Biden‘s Monday (Feb. 26) appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers.

In a statement to Vulture, a spokesperson for JVP confirmed, “Hunter was arrested at the protest, along with 50 other people. We commend her commitment to Palestinian freedom and to a future of justice for everyone.”

In one image shared to JVP’s social media, Schafer can be seen sitting with her face covered in front of a banner that reads, “Jews to Biden: Stop arming genocide.” In another image, she can be seen holding a banner that says, “The whole world is watching.” The actress was also wearing a t-shirt reading “Ceasefire NOW.”

Images also circulated online of Schafer being led by police while in handcuffs. According to reports online, it appears the actress has already been released from jail.

Decider has reached out to Schafer’s reps for comment.

In a statement to Rolling Stone, the NYPD confirmed that a number of protesters were taken into custody at the demonstration, though they did not confirm if Schafer was one of them. “The demonstration concluded at 1800 hours. A total of 30 individuals were taken into custody. Thirty individuals were issued summonses for Trespass,” the NYPD said.

Other celebrities have faced repercussions for voicing their support for Palestine during its ongoing conflict with Israel. Susan Sarandon was dropped by her agency after speaking at pro-Palestine rally, while actress Melissa Barrera was fired from Scream VII for comparing the treatment of civilians in Gaza to a “concentration camp” on social media.

A number of celebrities have come forward in calling for a ceasefire, with dozens including Jennifer Lopez, Jon Stewart and Drake signing an open letter to President Biden demanding “an immediate de-escalation and ceasefire in Gaza and Israel before another life is lost.”

According to JVP’s social media post, the protest was designed “to disrupt President Biden’s appearance” on Late Night.

The President received some backlash for the comments he made regarding the conflict when he and Seth Meyers went out to get ice cream cones after taping his Late Night interview.

While holding a cone, Biden told reporters that he hoped the nations could reach a ceasefire soon.

“I hope by… the end of the weekend,” Biden answered. “My national security advisor tells me we’re close. We’re close. It’s not done yet. My hope is by next Monday, we’ll have a ceasefire.”
