Ryan Murphy Teases New ‘Grotesquerie’ FX Horror Drama Series

Surprise! Ryan Murphy has revealed a brand new FX horror drama series titled Grotesquerie.

The renowned creator, writer, director, and producer unexpectedly announced the project on Instagram on Friday.

Starring Niecy Nash-Betts, Courtney B. Vance, and Lesley Manville, the series is slated to premiere this fall. Murphy accompanied his post with an all-text teaser clip, which you can watch below.

In the clip, Nash-Betts can be heard voicing her character, saying “I don’t know when it started, I can’t put my finger on it, but it’s different now. There’s been a shift, like something’s opening up in the world — a kind of hole that descends into a nothingness.

“You say, ‘Well, hon, evil has always existed,’” that “things are getting better, there’s never been a better time to be alive!’” she continues, but “it’s not getting better! Something’s happening around us, and nobody sees it but me.”

Murphy nor FX have revealed any other details of the series.

This would not be Nash-Betts’ first project with Murphy as she won an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress Series for her performance in Murphy’s Netflix series, Dahmer-–Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.
