Earlier this week, it was revealed that TV personality Wendy Williams was diagnosed with primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia (FTD) in 2023. A statement from Williams’ team noted that Wendy is “still able to do many things for herself” and that she’s maintaining her “trademark sense of humor” while she receives care. The news comes on the heels of the premiere of a new documentary, Where is Wendy Williams?, that premieres tonight (February 24) on Lifetime.
The four-part series is said to offer an unfiltered look at Wendy’s life following the end of her long-running daytime talk show and her journey to resurrect her career. Per Lifetime, Where is Wendy Williams? provides a “raw, honest, and unfiltered reality of Wendy’s life after she was placed under financial guardianship, shedding light on the vulnerabilities that have turned Wendy into the Hot Topic herself. Suffering mental and physical issues, Wendy’s delicate state of mind, erratic behavior, and declining health were all captured by the cameras.”
