We have no time for a proper intro because there’s a lot, and we mean a lot, of new content to watch right now. First up, we highly recommend Jacqueline Novak’s sensational new comedy special Get On Your Knees on Netflix. Performed with inexhaustible bravado, Novak’s incisive, razor-sharp comedy chops are second to none. Loved it. No notes.

What else should you watch? The Austin Butler-led Band of Brothers followup Masters of the Air recently debuted on Apple TV+, Sofía Vergara plays Colombian drug lord Griselda Blanco in the new Netflix miniseries Griselda, the first two episodes of Nicole Kidman’s Expats are now on Prime Video, and if you’re looking for a cozy nostalgia watch, you can’t go wrong with the ’90s cult classic Empire Records (now on Hulu).

What about Yellowstone? Glad you asked, partner! Here’s everything we know about the show’s return date.

Is Yellowstone on Paramount Network Tonight (1/28/24)?

Nope. Paramount Network is airing a marathon of Bar Rescue.

We do, however, have a bit of good news. CBS is airing three Season 3 episodes of Yellowstone (“All for Nothing,” “The Beating,” and “I Killed a Man Today”) tonight from 8:00-11:00 p.m. ET. Two additional episodes will air Monday, January 29 on CBS (9:00-11:00 p.m. ET).

When Does Yellowstone Return With New Season 5 Episodes?

Back in November, Paramount Network announced that Yellowstone will return for the second half of Season 5 in November 2024. The network also revealed that two new Yellowstone spinoffs — currently titled 1944 and 2024 — are in the works.

No plot details for 1944 or 2024 were announced, but Variety reports that 2024 is expected to begin airing following the conclusion of Yellowstone, with the show featuring “new cast members and locations with some crossover characters as well.” This is the series that would most likely include Matthew McConaughey, who’s been rumored to star in a Yellowstone spinoff since April.

Is Kevin Costner Leaving Yellowstone?

Production on the final episodes of the fifth and final season will reportedly begin in late spring 2024, but Costner’s level of involvement in the remaining installments is still unclear. The actor revealed in a September court trial that he was initially offered $24 million to do Seasons 5, 6, and 7 of Yellowstone but there were “issues with creative.”

Per Deadline, another source of contention centered around the star’s shooting schedule. Costner reportedly wanted more time to spend on his upcoming multi-part Western movie Horizon: An American Saga, a film in which he starred, directed, co-wrote, and produced.

The situation remains in flux — Costner said in September that he’ll “probably go to court” over his Yellowstone exit — so it’s safe to say that he almost certainly won’t be involved in future spinoffs.
