Holly Marie Combs has stepped in to offer her take on the ongoing drama plaguing the cast of Charmed.

What began with Combs revealing that Alyssa Milano reportedly had Shannen Doherty fired from the hit 2000s drama on Doherty’s Let’s Be Clear podcast last December has spiraled into the three stars coming forth with their own versions of the truth. On Friday, Milano addressed Combs’ claims at MegaCon Orlando, and ultimately argued that she “did not have the power to get anyone fired” in an Instagram post shared on Saturday (Feb. 3).

After Doherty emotionally reacted to Milano’s response on Sunday (Feb. 4) alongside Charmed alums Combs and Rose McGowan, Combs took to Instagram on Monday (Feb. 5) to inform fans that she “feel[s] the need to defend [her]self,” per Page Six.

“Alyssa [Milano] stepped out on the stage and essentially called Shannen [Doherty] and I liars when she was simply asked what it was like to work with Rose [McGowan],” she wrote, in part. “Suffice to say I’m a little shocked and a little disappointed especially by the things she posted the next day while texting me simultaneously words to the contrary. Sadly that’s not surprising anymore.”

Just as Doherty did on Sunday (Feb. 4), she reiterated that their truths are “not revisionist history,” but rather the history that Milano “didn’t want people to know about,” and that Doherty “wasn’t ready to talk about until one month ago.”

“No one should have to lie about their own life for the comfort of another,” she continued. “Although I have long wanted the girls to just get along for the sake of something bigger than all of us combined it was not in the cards. Clearly.”

Highlighting that she has a “big problem with injustice,” she brought up Milano’s claim that she “did not have the power to fire anyone,” deeming it “ironic because this was actually all about power.”

“But let’s go with that and let me explain what she did have the power to do,” she added. “She had the power to stop the process at any time. She had the power to not talk to the mediator/ therapist brought on to protect profits.”

She highlighted that “there was a case being built,” which only Milano “had the power to stop,” and that she “also had the power to say no” when the producers said they would let Doherty go.

“But she did not,” Combs continued. “She had the power to say no just as Shannon had said no I don’t want to replace Alyssa when posed with the same option. Because she was a child actor who supported a family just as Alyssa does and understood the great importance and responsibility of that.”

Noting how “it was heartbreaking then and still now,” Combs admitted that she thinks “a lot of the blame still remains with the producers who knew it was easier to keep [them] divided as opposed to united.” Nonetheless, she wrote that “it all worked out as destiny would have it,” and called Charmed fans their “only common denominator.”

Charmed was made for all of you, and lastly the truth of the matter is we we all are, despite our differences, incredibly grateful for this dysfunctional family in every way,” she penned. “The End.”
