‘Today’s Jenna Bush Hager Confesses She Wasn’t “Worried” About Being Naked At Their Work Gym Until Hoda Kotb “Shamed” Her: “I Was Probably Harming Some Of Our Colleagues”
Hoda Kotb‘s daughter, Haley Joy, took a field trip this morning to Today with Hoda & Jenna with her first grade class to visit her mom and Jenna Bush Hager at work. The kids joined them for the beginning of Tuesday’s broadcast, so the hosts made sure to keep their conversation “kid-friendly”… but only to a certain point.
“Do you remember being 21?” Kotb asked her co-host after they discussed singer Olivia Rodrigo‘s recent milestone birthday.
“Yes I do, barely,” Bush Hager replied.
The producers then pulled up a photo of a young Bush Hager, prompting Kotb to playfully joke with the kids, “That’s wild Jenna! Jenna was wild, y’all, back in the day. She was.”
“No!” Bush Hager said in protest. She then turned to Haley’s first-grade class and said, “Haley, your mother was, too. She lived in New Orleans, ask her the stories about —what was that bar?”
As Bush Hager spoke, Kotb playfully pretended to throw a lasso over her head.
The producers then shared a photo of a young Kotb dressed in a pink sequin outfit as Kotb told her co-host with a laugh, “I’m not telling you.”
Though the hosts did not discuss their “wild” twenties in front of Haley’s first-grade class, they have shared some stories from their youth on the show.

Just last November, Bush Hager dished about the time she was arrested for underage drinking while her father was still president.
She blamed the incident on the waitress serving her at the time, saying the server called the cops because “she didn’t like my dad,” referring to then-President of the United States, George W. Bush.
“To her credit, that was dumb. I mean, my dad was the president,” Bush Hager admitted on Today.
The hosts have also spoken about how they got over “terrible” breakups, “HOT” hookups, and more on the show. But, to their credit, they made sure to keep Tuesday’s broadcast rather tame by their standards.
Today with Jenna and Hoda airs on weekdays at 10/9c on NBC.
