Dune (2021)

Powered by Reelgood

The long wait is nearly over, and Dune: Part Two will be here in just over a week.

The highly anticipated sequel to 2021’s Dune hits theaters on March 1 and ahead of the film’s release, fans can shop for two new books to explore and immerse themselves further into the universe of Dune before heading back to Arrakis.

The first is a follow-up to The Art and Soul of Dune, which was released on the same day as Dune in 2021. Penned by producer Tanya Lapointe, The Art and Soul of Dune brought readers behind the scenes of the journey to make Dune, from costume concepts to the genesis of environmental and creature designs. The book also featured interviews with director Denis Villeneuve and the cast, including Timotheé Chalamet, Oscar Isaac, and Rebecca Ferguson.

Lapointe returns to write The Art and Soul of Dune: Part Two, which features similar behind-the-scenes images and insights for the second installment in Villeneuve’s Dune universe.

Dune: Exposures is a unique book that makes the perfect companion to The Art and Soul of Dune: Part Two. While both films were in production, director of photography Greig Fraser documented the process with still photography on a variety of cameras. The result is a gallery of stunning never-before-seen images of Villeneuve and key cast members from both Dune installments.

Actor Josh Brolin, who plays Warmaster Gurney Halleck in both movies, contributed writing to Dune: Exposures; alongside images, he wrote about his experiences on set and even included some poetry.
